It was prizes all round for me at QuiltWest. I was very chuffed.
Tsunami (180cm square) quilt was awarded first prize in Modern Quilts – Professional category.
Red Balloons (126cm x 86cm) was awarded second prize in Modern Quilts – Professional category. I bravely introduced some patterned Marcia Derse fabric into my normal ‘solids only’ quilts.
To the Moon and Back (83cm x 63cm) was awarded second prize in Small Quilts – Professional category. Unusually small quilt for me but I had great fun with the quilting and hand embellishment.
Silhouettes (150cm x 148cm) was awarded third prize in Art Quilts – Professional category. It was based on a technique that I learnt in a Pat Pauly workshop and with the addition of some black and white ‘sketches’ made and samples for other quilts.
